Apply now for Hanga Pitchfest 2023 (Rwanda)

The largest in-person technology event in Rwanda designed to ignite & inspire innovation, Hanga Pitch Fest is returning for its third edition. The third edition of Hanga Pitch Fest is brought to you by The Ministry of ICT and Innovation, Rwanda Development Board, and the United Nations Development Programme. This time, it will take place on 1st December at BK Arena and will include:

• Hanga PitchFest 2023 Finale
• Hanga Corporate and Public Innovation Awards
• Hanga Sexual and reproductive health track
• Hanga Innovation Exhibition

At Hanga Pitch Fest 2023, a pair of fresh initiatives will be unveiled. Startups will get a unique opportunity to connect with early-stage investors while displaying their startups in The Hanga Dealroom. On the other side, the Hanga Ideathon will be launched to promote innovation in higher learning institutions. Students will have a platform to present creative concepts thanks to this interesting component, which will inspire them to become the next wave of entrepreneurs and inventors. Participants will have exciting opportunities to network with angel investors, pitch their ideas, and encourage innovation at the Hanga Dealroom and Hanga Ideathon.

Who can apply?

• All start-ups should be based in Rwanda and registered with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
• The start-up should not be older than 5 years after registration.
• The start-up should not have raised any venture capital (except angel investors, family, and friends). Start-ups that may have received grant funding from other incubator programs or hackathons are eligible.
• The start-up must present a tech-enabled solution or have the potential to scale through technology.
• The start-up must have a developed / working prototype to apply.
• Companies that participated in previous editions are allowed to apply (Except top 25).
