The Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) is launching, in collaboration with the Regional Consular Chamber of UEMOA (CCR-UEMOA) and the National Consular Chambers (CCn) of the UEMOA member states, the third edition of the Tremplin Startup UEMOA Competition.
With a national and regional dimension, this Competition is held simultaneously in the eight (08) member states of UEMOA.
The third edition of the Tremplin Startup UEMOA Competition targets startups that operate in the cultural and creative industries (ICC) sector and that use a creative and digital marketing strategy to promote cultural, artistic and/or heritage content. The ICC sectors concerned are, among others, Cinema and audiovisual, Music, Performing Arts, Publishing, Visual Arts, Arts and Crafts, Design, Fashion and Video Games, etc.

Prize Information
- Regional level
- For the five best startups in the UEMOA area, Excellence awards ranging from fifteen to ten million (15,000,000 to 10,000,000) CFA francs:
- 1st price = 15,000,000 F CFA
- 2nd price = 13,000,000 F CFA
- 3rd price = 12,000,000 F CFA
- 4th price = 11,000,000 F CFA
- 5th price = 10,000,000 F CFA
- Five Excellence bonuses in the amount of two million (2,000,000) FCFA each for Entrepreneurship Support Structures having submitted the file of a Winner of an Excellence Award.
- For the five best startups in the UEMOA area, Excellence awards ranging from fifteen to ten million (15,000,000 to 10,000,000) CFA francs:
- National level
- For the three (03) best startups in each State, Encouragement prizes of six, five and four million (6,000,000, 5,000,000 and 4,000,000) CFA francs will be granted to each of them, i.e. twenty-four Encouragement prizes for all eight States.
- Three Encouragement bonuses in the amount of one million (1,000,000) FCFA each for the Entrepreneurship Support Structures having submitted the file of a Winner of an Encouragement Prize.
Eligibility Criteria
- Carry out economic activities in one or more UEMOA member states, namely: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo .
- Be (the main promoter) a citizen or resident of a UEMOA member state.
- Working in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector with the application of a marketing strategy.
- Startup created after December 31, 2019.

- Relevance, adequacy and innovation of the proposed solution.
- Quality of the implementation team.
- Motivation of the promoter.
- Relevance of technical feasibility.
- Relevance of commercial feasibility.
- Potential financial viability of the startup.
- Relevance of the startup’s marketing strategy.
- Use of innovative technologies and social media.
- Visibility on cultural, artistic and/or heritage content.
- Quality of social and environmental impact.
- Quality of the proposed application file.
