The Swiss Re Foundation, in partnership with Bridge for Billions, presents the Changemakers Program, a five-month incubation initiative designed to support early-stage social entrepreneurs in refining and validating their business models.
The program focuses on climate and health solutions including building sustainable and climate-resilient value chains, urban and coastal nature-based solutions, circular economy models, biodiversity and ecosystem protection, disaster risk reduction, improving health system efficiency, affordability and quality, addressing healthy nutrition, tackling preventable diseases, and delivering climate-resilient healthcare solutions.
The Changemakers Program offers a dynamic environment where participants can build meaningful professional relationships with entrepreneurs, mentors, and Swiss Re experts while engaging in collaborative learning and growth. Through structured guidance, participants gain access to personalized mentorship from Swiss Re professionals who provide feedback, help validate ideas, and support the development of structured processes while ensuring accountability throughout the program.
Participants also receive the opportunity to refine their pitching skills and present their ventures during the final Demo Day, where they compete for seed funding awards of $15,000 for first place, $10,000 for second place, and $5,000 for third place. This financial support is aimed at helping selected ventures scale their impact and strengthen their business foundation.
Eligibility for the program requires applicants to have an early-stage socially innovative business in health or climate, such as ventures launched within the last three years or at the minimum viable product stage. They should be based in South Asia or South East Asia and be able to fully participate in an English-language program. Applicants must be committed to creating positive social impact and willing to dedicate six to eight hours per week over five months. Access to a reliable internet connection and a computer or laptop is also required.
