Startup Canada has announced applications for the 2024 Startup Global Virtual Pitch Competition Day, an opportunity for entrepreneurs across the country to win from $70,000 in cash prizes to fund their exporting and growth goals for their business.
Startup Global is one of Startup Canada’s flagship programs, providing resources to entrepreneurs looking to expand their businesses internationally. The Startup Global Pitch Competition is a key element of the Startup Global program.
The Grand Finale
One winner from each of the Startup Canada Tour stops, plus six of the top 12 pitchers from the Virtual Pitch Competition Day on Tuesday, June 25, will be flown to Kitchener-Waterloo with the support of the partners at Air Canada to compete in the Startup Global Pitch Competition Grand Finale. The Grand Finale will take place on Wednesday, October 30. At this event, three entrepreneurs will walk away with one of the grand prizes plus in-kind support from the network of partners including the presenting partners UPS and Export Development Canada. The cash prizes include:
- 1st Place | $30,000
- 2nd Place | $15,000
- 3rd Place | $7,500
- People’s Choice Award | $2,500
Who is eligible?
The Startup Global Virtual Pitch Competition Day is designed for early-stage entrepreneurs who have the intention/ability to export their products/services outside of Canada. To be eligible for the Startup Global Virtual Pitch Competition Day, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Less than $1,000,000 in revenue
- Less than five years of operating their business
- Have business/operations based in Canada.
