The AIM – ICDK Water Challenge 6.0 is an international innovation program designed to support students and early-stage entrepreneurs to work on real-world sustainability and digitalization challenges while collaborating with global peers and experts.
The program focuses on digital solutions for societal impact, sustainability challenges, innovation development, interdisciplinary competencies, inclusion and Universal Design, international collaboration, startup acceleration, and exposure to global networks through hybrid learning, workshops, and participation in the Digital Tech Summit in Copenhagen.
The AIM – ICDK Water Innovation Challenge has completed multiple successful editions and now continues with its sixth edition, bringing together participants from India and several other countries. The selected Indian participants form a cohort that joins the global Next Generation Digital Action program, working alongside students and innovators from leading universities and innovation hubs across multiple countries.
The program provides a unique international innovation experience where participants work on real-world challenges and develop presentable solutions. It includes fully covered travel, accommodation, and participation in the Digital Tech Summit in Denmark, along with opportunities to engage with global experts, business mentors, and innovation communities.
Participants also benefit from exposure to interdisciplinary learning, focusing on sustainability, digital technologies, inclusion, and Universal Design. The program encourages collaboration with international stakeholders and participation in social and networking events within a global startup and student ecosystem.
The student track is designed for university students who engage in a three-week hybrid learning program focused on digital action for societal impact. Participants work on sustainability challenges provided by external partners, with a strong emphasis on digitalization. The program includes both online learning and physical participation in Copenhagen, where selected students present and exhibit their solutions at the Digital Tech Summit.
Eligibility for the student track requires applicants to be Indian citizens, aged 35 or below, and enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral programs at universities across India. Participants must be proficient in English and able to participate in both the online and in-person components of the program, with a maximum of three team members traveling to Denmark.
The entrepreneur track is designed for early-stage Indian startups seeking international exposure and acceleration opportunities. It offers workshops, expert engagement, and networking opportunities aimed at helping startups refine their strategies, build investor connections, and prepare for global showcase events. Participants receive support in developing their approach for international engagement and building relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Eligibility for the entrepreneur track requires Indian citizenship, an age limit of 35 years, English proficiency, and the ability to participate in both the hybrid learning phase and the in-person program in Copenhagen, with a maximum of three team members allowed to travel.
