Deadline: 25 April 2024
Apply for the “Kosovo CSR Awards”, a celebration of excellence in Kosovo, recognizing the remarkable achievements of the private sector in advancing CSR initiatives and integrating sustainable practices into their business models.
Sustainable development and the necessary transition to green economy can only be achieved with the involvement and contribution of the private sector, as a catalyst for change. Therefore, the Annual CSR Award organized by the Kosovo CSR Network aims to promote and encourage the private sector to adopt best practices in corporate sustainability and responsibility.
The Annual CSR Award aims to:
- promote best practices and initiatives undertaken by the private sector in Kosovo that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- promote best practices undertaken by the private sector that address environmental and social impact
- further mobilize the private sector in Kosovo in adopting practices and launching initiatives that have a positive impact on sustainable development, both at the local and global levels.
The Kosovo CSR Network, is the first and only institution in Kosovo dedicated to uniting responsible businesses and organizations committed to advancing sustainable development. They promote the concept of sustainability and responsibility, foster innovative ideas, and take proactive actions to amplify CSR’s impact within the society.
Annual CSR Award: Categories
This year’s award will distinguish itself by introducing, for the first time, three distinct categories, aiming to maximize the promotion of companies that excel in integrating CSR principles and sustainability into their business models:
- Corporate Award for Excellence in CSR – Is given to companies that have successfully incorporated ESG principles into their operations and have implemented initiatives with a substantial impact on at least one of the ESG pillars (Environment, Social, and Governance). This award recognizes organizations that not only prioritize financial success but also demonstrate a commitment to responsible business practices that contribute positively to the broader community and environment.
- CSR Award in Woman Empowerment – Is given to companies that have significantly contributed to women empowerment. This encompasses initiatives and practices that foster gender equality, provide opportunities for professional growth, and create a supportive environment for women. Such efforts may extend beyond the organizational realm to positively impact the broader community, emphasizing the integral role of women’s empowerment in achieving sustainable development goals.
- Best Award for Sustainable Impact – This category recognizes companies that demonstrate a commitment to reevaluating their carbon footprint through active engagement in the decarbonization process. The award is awarded to entities that have made significant contributions to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-free future, with a focus on initiatives promoting net-zero carbon emissions, embracing circular economy practices, and fostering positive environmental impacts.
