The Ocean Impact Award from Ocean Allies aims to recognize and celebrate a business that exemplifies DEI&A within Canada’s ocean sector.
The recipient of the Ocean Allies award will be featured by Ocean Allies and receive a cash prize to be donated to a charity of their choice.
Prize Information
- Platinum: $3000
- Gold: $1500
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Ocean Impact Award, you must:
- Be a business registered within Canada.
- Have been actively operating in Canada for a minimum of 12 months.
- Have a majority of the business headquartered in Canada.
- Not publicly funded organizations.
- Be an organization or have a specific employee that has made the Ocean sector a more equitable, diverse, inclusive, and respectful community.
- Have built and/or promoted a set of practices and behaviours within the workplace, team or among individuals that enables employees to understand, communicate, and effectively interact with people across differences, real or perceived.
- Have created a sense of belonging where colleagues and/or students are recognized and valued for their uniqueness; and promoted the Ocean sector as a place where individuals can be their authentic selves.
