YIC 2025 invites nomination of innovations from IIC institutions up to 10 best innovations for take part in the challenge.
YUKTI Innovation Challenge 2025 (YIC 2025) is 4th edition of the YIC provides a platform for eligible innovators with technology-based solutions at TRL 4 and above (as registered in the YUKTI Innovation Repository of IIC institutions).
Selected innovation teams will undergo a 360-degree comprehensive learning process involving experiential learning, mentoring, and evaluation to achieve problem-solution fit, product-market fit, and business model fit. The program also offers connections to investors, incubation support, and financial assistance opportunities from AICTE and MIC to transform innovations into successful start-ups.
Innovation Nomination Guidelines for IIC Institutes
- Active Repository Requirement: Each IIC Institute must have an active YUKTI Innovation Repository linked to its IIC login account.
- Ongoing Scouting and Verification: Institutes should continuously enrich their Repository by scouting and verifying PoCs, prototypes, and startups from students, alumni, and faculty. The institute-specific YIR link should be periodically shared with all members for submissions.
- Verification Status: Only submissions that achieve a ‘Recommended’ status from institute-assigned verifiers are eligible for nomination to YIC 2025.
- Nomination Limit and Criteria: Each institute may nominate up to 10 of the best demonstrable innovations or prototypes with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4 or above for YIC 2025.
- Exclusion of Previously Supported Innovations: Do not nominate any innovation that has already received financial support from MIC, SIH, or any other central/state government scheme.
- Recency of Innovations: Preferably, nominate innovations developed within the last two academic years.
Guidelines for Innovators/Team Leaders for Innovation Submission
- Registered innovators should log in to the YUKTI portal to check, update, or upgrade their applications if needed.
- To be eligible for nomination, the innovation’s verification status must be “Recommended” at the institute level.
- Contact your IIC point person of your institute for support with verification and nomination to YIC 2025.
- If you haven’t submitted your innovation yet, log in to YUKTI Portal to submit and notify your institute for verification and then nomination.
- If not registered yet in the YUKTI Portal, then use the link provided by your institute or directly register, ensuring you select the correct institute during registration.
- If an idea previously submitted at TRL 1–3 (Idea/PoC stage) has advanced to TRL 4+ (Innovation/Prototype stage), you must upgrade its status in the YUKTI portal before it can be considered for nomination.
