Nominations open for Cordinovation Startup Challenge 2026 (Philippines)

Deadline Date: April 26, 2026

The Cordinovation Startup Challenge 2026 offers to support early-stage startups in the Cordillera region of the Philippines to showcase innovative, technology-driven solutions for regional development and industry growth.

The focus areas, of this opportunity include artificial intelligence for regional growth, technology transfer and commercialization, agriculture, aquatic and natural resources, food security, industry innovation, energy solutions, emerging technologies, health innovations, AI-enabled local government services, digital platforms for agriculture and MSMEs, smart irrigation systems, climate advisories, supply chain optimization, farm-to-market solutions, protected cultivation systems, AI-assisted diagnostics for low-resource settings, and herbal and natural product innovations. The top three winners in each category will receive cash prizes, with first place receiving PhP 20,000.00, second place receiving PhP 15,000.00, and third place receiving PhP 10,000.00.

This startup challenge is part of the 2026 Cordinovation event organized by the Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Committee and will be held in Baguio City. It is designed to highlight the role of artificial intelligence in advancing innovation and industry collaboration across the Cordillera region.

The program provides a platform for startups to present their minimum viable products or prototypes, connect with potential investors and industry stakeholders, and explore opportunities for mentorship, networking, funding, and commercialization support. It also aims to strengthen the link between innovation and industry through technology transfer.

Eligible participants must be startups led by at least one Filipino founder or co-founder and operating within the Cordillera Administrative Region of the Philippines. Applicants should be early-stage ventures with a business age of six months to three years and must be registered with the appropriate national agencies. Startups are required to demonstrate a working MVP, prototype, or proof of concept and should offer innovative solutions addressing identified market gaps or sectoral needs.

The challenge recognizes innovative startups across three main sectors, including agriculture, aquatic and natural resources, industry, energy, emerging technologies, and health. Selected startups will have the opportunity to compete for recognition and cash prizes, with top performers in each category receiving financial rewards to support further development and commercialization.
