- The Forrester Technology Strategy Impact Award
- This is the only assessment dedicated to recognizing excellence in IT strategy that continuously improves business results through the use of technology. They aim to highlight and reward organizations for enhancing business outcomes with their technology and IT capabilities, emphasizing alignment, trust, and adaptivity.
- At the heart of every successful company lies a high-performing IT organization — a team that pursues the continuous improvement of business results through technology. This award seeks to honor those remarkable IT organizations that have proven their mettle in aligning technology with the dynamic needs of the business.
- They invite nominations from companies that exemplify one or more of the following high-performance IT styles:
- Enabling capabilities: demonstrating excellence in stabilizing, operating, and protecting the business.
- Amplifying capabilities: utilizing automation, data and analytics, AI, and other technologies to optimize outcomes and drive business efficiency at scale.
- Cocreating capabilities: showcasing the rapid development, delivery, and operation of new products, features, or services.
- Transforming capabilities: scaling and rapidly deploying emerging technologies that create or disrupt new business models.
- Participants are expected to share compelling narratives that illustrate their IT organization’s journey towards high performance. Stories should reflect how their IT strategy and initiatives have:
- Aligned with and accelerated business goals.
- Fostered adaptivity within the organization.
- Boosted the organization’s reputation for trust through security, privacy, resilience, etc.
- Demonstrated measurable impact on the business, be it through cost optimization, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, market differentiation, etc.
- Organizations that apply should be willing to have one senior executive, preferably the CIO, participate in a discussion of their company’s high-performance IT strategy on stage at Forrester’s T&I Summit EMEA 2024.
- Why participate?
- The winning enterprise will be celebrated on stage at Technology & Innovation Summit EMEA 2024.
- The winner and finalists may also be featured in Forrester reports, videos, social media posts, and other channels. Two senior executives from the winning enterprise will also receive a complimentary ticket to the event as well as one-night hotel accommodation.
- The Forrester Enterprise Architecture Award
- This is the only global awards program dedicated to recognizing excellence in enterprise architecture
- The submission process should highlight organizations that have achieved a high level of mastery in outcome driven EA practices. The recipients of this award can demonstrate their EA practice’s material contribution to their firms in managing risk, driving cost-efficiency, improving customer experience (including the employee experience), and increasing revenue (or supporting mission outcomes for nonprofit, governmental, and military organizations). They also may demonstrate:
- An EA roadmap that contributes to the future fitness of its technology organization and the entire business.
- EA practices that drive change, growth, and differentiation through timely yet strategic decisions.
- An EA organization that embodies the six foundational priorities: valuable, influential, agile, accountable, innovative, and collaborative.
- EA metrics that focus on customer outcomes and experiences.
- Many organizations are increasingly integrating their EA, configuration management database, service management, DevOps, portfolio, FinOps, and related tooling. If you have a specific integration architecture (perhaps called IT4IT or “business of IT architecture”) and/or have developed architectural solutions using generative AI, please consider submitting. This is the only area where they are accepting additional supporting materials.
- They invite nominations from enterprise architects and other technology leaders. Organizations that apply should be willing to have one senior executive, preferably the head of enterprise architecture, participate in a discussion of their company’s EA practice on stage at Forrester’s T&I Summit EMEA 2024. Presenting at The Open Group events is also strongly encouraged.
- Why participate?
- You may want to participate if you are proud of what you have achieved with your architecture strategy. Many winners furthermore express the desire to educate, serve, and advance the profession of enterprise architecture. Winning or placing is a statement to the world that your organization is effective and advanced in its digital/IT strategy and understands the importance of enterprise architecture. (2023 Forrester data shows that a majority of large enterprises have architects and architecture programs.)
- The winning enterprise will be celebrated on stage at T&I Summit EMEA 2024. The winner and finalists may also be featured in Forrester reports, videos, social media posts, and other channels. Two senior executives from the winning enterprise will also receive a complimentary ticket to the event as well as one-night hotel accommodation.
Who should apply?
- This award is open to companies and organizations with 1,000 employees or more in sectors other than software or professional services that are executing a high-performance IT strategy as defined by Forrester.
- Consultancies, system integrators, and agencies are welcome to nominate their clients with their clients’ written permission and agreement to the terms of the award. Nominators should gather all permissions and information prior to submitting the entry form. Entries cannot be withdrawn or amended after the deadline.
