- ₹1 Lakh Cash Prize
- One winner will be selected from each category – Early-Stage Startups and College Students. Each winner will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 Lakh.
- Partnership with Aquaconnect
- Winners will have the chance to work with the Aquaconnect team to launch their product and scale for impact, subject to a mutual agreement on both sides.
- Incubation at Sathyabama TBI
- Sathyabama TBI provides incubation and mentorship support selectively to those among the top 10 chosen applicants, based on the alignment with their vision.
- Exclusive Startup Support
- The top 10 selected applicants will have access to StartupTN’s blue economy network, which includes fisheries research and development institutes, academic institutions, and their facilities. This comes along with guidance and support for company setup.

- IoT/software-based affordable solutions focused on optimal water quality management, hatchery practices, feeding management, disease monitoring, aquatic health monitoring, biomass estimation, and farm energy use etc.,
- Production challenges
- Innovative production methods that focus on improving production efficiency, Biotechnological advancements in Feed and healthcare formulations, etc.,
- Processing & value Addition
- Addressing challenges in post-harvest value chains involves various players, such as processing, preservation, cold storage, value addition, etc.,
Who can participate?
- Category 1
- Early-Stage Startups: Open to innovative startups in their initial stages, looking to make a mark in the aquaculture sector with fresh, impactful ideas.
- Category 2
- College Students: All UG, PG, and Ph.D. students from any discipline, across any Indian colleges and universities are invited to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills in aquaculture.
Eligibility Criteria
- For Early-Stage Startups:
- Must be in the early stages, ideally before or at the seed funding phase.
- Must be a legally registered entity in India.
- The idea should be original and capable of making a significant impact on the sector.
- Eligibility Criteria for College Students (UG/PG/Ph.D.):
- Open to individuals who are currently enrolled in or have completed an undergraduate, postgraduate, or Ph.D. program, with no restriction on the date of completion.
- Participants from all academic backgrounds are eligible, not limited to fisheries or aquaculture.
- Students can enter individually or as part of a team. All team members must meet the educational criteria.
- Submissions should focus on addressing challenges or introducing innovations in aquaculture.
