The BlueArk Challenge is a call for projects with the aim of generating innovative concepts and solutions in water management, while inviting professionals and specialists in the field, institutions, and digital players to collaborate.
The aim is to rapidly generate/prototype ‘on the ground’ solutions to concrete problems expressed by water stakeholders (e.g. distributors, WWTPs, local authorities, etc.) while benefiting from feedback from future users. This event is organized jointly by the Entremont BlueArk Innovation Cluster, ALTIS and The Ark Foundation (the organizers).
Challenges
To be eligible, the proposed solutions must respond to a challenge proposed by one of the BlueArk Challenge 2024 challenge holders.
- Help with Crisis Management and Deterioration of The Drinking Water Network
- Mechanical Snow Removal: How Do You Cool the Water?
- Drinking Water at Altitude
- Protecting the Iles D’en Bas Well as Part of The Rhone 3 Project
- Monitoring the Performance of Mini-Steps
- Rainwater Infiltration on Sloping Land
What’s in it for me?
- CHF 10’000 cash for the development of the solution concept with the challenge leader
- Monitoring of the solution by the challenge leader and provision of infrastructures-test in the field
- Personalized coaching by BlueArk
- The opportunity to develop, test and, if all goes well, market a proven solution that has been field-tested and validated by a water specialist
Who can submit a solution?
- The call for projects is open to all persons, companies or institutions interested or active in the field of water and/or its digitisation.
Criteria
In order to be eligible, all fields required in the application form must be completed. Applications will also be judged against the following criteria:
- Response to the expressed need
- Relevance and added value of the solution
- Innovative or creative character
- Technical feasibility
- Economic and development potential
- Quality of the application
- Multi-disciplinary innovation team.
