The ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards 2026 is a national recognition programme in India that honours organisations and individuals contributing to best practices, innovation, and transformation in the sanitation and WASH sector.
Focus areas, of the awards include promoting best practices in sanitation, strengthening WASH financing, driving innovation in sanitation systems, supporting waste management and plastic recycling, improving water and hygiene services, encouraging scalable solutions, and contributing to national missions such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Har Ghar Jal.
The ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards is a flagship initiative in India’s sanitation sector, established in 2017, and has become a leading platform for recognising impactful work across the country. The 2026 edition marks the 10th anniversary of the awards, highlighting a decade of commitment to improving sanitation outcomes.
The awards recognise contributions from a wide range of stakeholders, including corporate initiatives, non-profit organisations, government bodies, and grassroots organisations. They also highlight innovation in areas such as plastic recycling and waste management, contributing to broader environmental and public health improvements.
Supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the awards carry strong national credibility and aim to promote a cleaner, healthier, safer, and more equitable society.
The programme also serves as a catalyst for change by showcasing effective sanitation solutions and enabling opportunities for investment, partnerships, and sector-wide collaboration. It has played a role in increasing visibility and strengthening the impact of past recipients.
The 2026 edition aligns with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat and continues to support the development of scalable and sustainable sanitation systems across urban and rural communities.
The awards will honour winners across ten categories, covering the full sanitation value chain through concepts such as BUILD, USE, MAINTAIN, TREAT, REUSE, RECYCLE, and WATER, ensuring a comprehensive approach to WASH improvement.
