Call for Applications: Santander X Award Portugal – Startup 2023

Object

• The objective of this initiative is to provide training, technical and economic support, as well as personalized advice for launching and accelerating projects.
• Three from the category, of the Santander X Portugal Award 2023 will enter directly as competitors from Portugal in the Santander X Global Award.

Scope

• You can participate in the participation procedure to award the prize entrepreneurs residing in Portugal and startups based in Portugal.

Prize Description

• The Prize is awarded to 3 winners for the category, selected among 10 finalists by a National jury. Finalists will be selected from among candidates from 351 – Portuguese Startups Association.
• Finalists will receive:
  • National publicity, visibility through Grupo Santander channels;
  • Access to three hours of mentoring provided by a group of mentors specialists.
• The following prizes are awarded to sellers in the Early-Stage category:
  • Monetary prize granted by Fundação Santander (subject to adequate retention), in the values below;
    • 1st Prize: €10,000 (ten thousand euros);
    • 2nd Prize: €6,000 (six thousand euros);
    • 3rd Prize: €4,000 (four thousand euros);
  • Candidacy for the Santander X Global Award (competing with the winners from the remaining countries that make up the prize), and may to win:
    • global exposure;
    • the opportunity to obtain other monetary prizes;
    • mentoring by the Oxentia Foundation.

Project Requirements

• Projects that are candidates for the Award:
  • Categoria Early-Stage
    • Aimed at startups;
    • The project must meet both requirements:
      • Company legally incorporated in Portuguese territory, with less than 10 years since said constitution;
      • Innovation must be technology-based and present a solution disruptive and innovative.
    • The startup must meet at least one of these requirements:
      • The current commercialization of a product and/or service that does not exceed the annual sales revenue of €300,000;
      • Seed financing/investment is between €100,000 and €1,000,000;
      • It has 2-25 full-time employees.
