Applications are now open for the Bihar Innovation Challenge, an all-India innovation challenge being conducted by Startup Bihar, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar to foster innovation at all levels and commercialization of these innovations through successful ventures.
Shortlisted applicants are needed to prepare a working prototype/model, demonstrate and pitch it to the Jury members during the Grand Finale.

- Category A – School students
- Category B – College Students
- Category C – Startups/Research Scholars

- First Prize – Laptop
- Second Prize – Tablets
- Third Prize – Smart Watches
- Category B- College Students
- First Prize – INR 1 Lakhs
- Second Prize – INR 75 Thousands
- Third Prize – INR 50 thousand
- Category C – Startups/Research Scholars
- First Prize – INR 3 Lakhs
- Second Prize – INR 2 lakhs
- Third Prize – INR 1 Lakh
- Winners and runner-ups will get gifts/cash prizes and further funding opportunities under Bihar Startup Policy. They will also get handhold & mentorship support from leading institutes of Bihar.
Eligibility Criteria
- BIC-2023 invites applications from students, innovators, startups, research scholars, etc. from all over India who are developing innovative solutions using cutting-edge technology and can exhibit a proof-of-concept/prototype ready in the focus areas.
