- Battery Recycling
- Recycling of used batteries in the Li ion battery value chain
- Closing-the-loop technologies: from collection to recycling (Collecting, state of health analysis, discharging, dismantling, crushing, safety measures)
- Eco-design solutions for enhanced Li-ion batteries sustainability and recyclability
- Smart Grid
- Technologies for optimizing or extending the life of the existing grid (monitoring, dynamic component rating, intelligent analysis tools, etc.)
- Novel power technology hardware and software (optimized transformers, cablification technologies, conductor insulator material improvements, etc.)
- Technologies enhancing flexibility available for the grid
- Circular Economy & Bioeconomy
- Biomass to energy, fuels and feedstocks – feedstocks, conversion technologies, valorisation solutions
- Waste valorization to fuels and feedstocks – recycling solutions and conversion technologies
- Scalable solutions for low carbon fuels from bio-feedstocks and waste (aviation, marine, long-haul transport)
- Renewables
- Photovoltaics – raw material innovation, manufacturing, panel recovery and recycling.
- BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) and new manufacturing processes.
- Reduced carbon footprint and purity use of input materials for cell/module production
- Digital Solutions
- This vertical allows cross-cutting digital solutions serving a number of verticals explored in Hello Clean Tech to apply without restricting their application only to one segment
- Improving resource efficiency: by leveraging technology
- Reducing carbon footprint by optimizing energy usage, reducing emissions, count carbon footprint for others, and promoting sustainable practices
- Promoting sustainable behaviour through the use of digital platforms and other technology
- This vertical allows cross-cutting digital solutions serving a number of verticals explored in Hello Clean Tech to apply without restricting their application only to one segment

- The programme is free of charge.
- A participant may submit only one project to Hello CleanTech 2.0. Should two or more projects be submitted by the same participant, the project submitted first will be deemed to have been duly submitted and evaluated in Hello CleanTech 2.0.
