Alberta Chambers of Commerce announces Business Awards of Distinction 2025 (Canada)

Deadline: 1 April 2025

Are you ready to celebrate your success and amplify your business? The Alberta Business Awards of Distinction are your chance to showcase your achievements, extend your reach, and gain recognition across Alberta.

They invite you to submit your application for one (or more!) of the 12 award categories. Whether you’re nominated or submitting independently, your journey to being celebrated starts here.

Why Apply?

  • The Alberta Business Award of Distinction is more than a trophy, it’s a platform for growth!
    • Amplify Your Business: Gain recognition and visibility across Alberta’s business community and beyond. Finalists and winners are announced through media channels such as podcasts, newspapers, and global digital assets!
    • Celebrate Your Success: Honour the hard work and achievements of your team. Finalists receive prominent exposure on their social media channels during May and June, and winners are promoted for six months following the event.
    • Extend Your Reach: Connect with new customers, partners, and networks, expanding your business’s reach and impact.

Award Categories

  • Marketing Award of Distinction
    • Recognizes a business/organization that developed and implemented a successful marketing initiative that has a demonstrable impact on business outcomes.
  • Mentorship Award of Distinction
    • Recognizes a business/organization that exemplifies professionalism, and dedication to learning, and endorses a distinct strategy or program that promotes mentorship.
  • Global Growth Award of Distinction
    • Recognizes a business/organization that demonstrates outstanding achievement in exporting products or services outside of Canada’s borders.
  • Small Business Award of Distinction
    • Recognizes the contributions that small business owners provide to Alberta’s economy. Because the SME industry plays such a crucial role in Alberta’s economy, they want to recognize the entrepreneurs who work hard in making their small businesses a success.
  • Young Entrepreneur Award of Distinction
    • Recognizes young entrepreneurs who exemplify the qualities of effective leadership, innovatively applied know-how, and excellent potential for growth. Young Entrepreneurs find new and inventive ways to fix problems and show a great deal of social savviness. They are opportunity grabbers, passionate about innovation and progress.

This award honours the entrepreneurial successes and efforts of individuals who were born outside of Canada and now call Alberta home.
  • Alberta’s Best of Business Award of Distinction
    • This prestigious award is presented to an Alberta business that has demonstrated achievements in business/organizational leadership and growth
  • Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Award of Distinction
    • Recognizes a business or organization with outstanding achievement in practice, events, applied research, policy, programs, or other activities that foster equitable, sustainable and measurable change, especially for those who traditionally have been under-represented (women, visible/racialized minorities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ2S+). This award encourages businesses to embrace cultural differences and build relationships with diverse communities. By demonstrating these qualities, businesses can create a more inclusive workplace for all employees.
