Deadline: February 28, 2026
The CIMSME Fintech Challenge has been launched to discover, develop and scale innovative Fintech solutions that empower Startups and MSMEs in getting timely and adequate finance from the formal sector with the preparation of bankable business project reports and financial projections.
The focus is on Fintech Solution for Business Project Report and Fintech Solution for Financial Projection.
Startups with valid DPIIT registration and MSMEs with valid Udyam registration are eligible to apply for this challenge. The initiative addresses the problem of limited expert support for preparing financial projections and business project reports, as many startups and MSMEs face difficulties in presenting the required documents to lenders. This often leads to non-bankable financial submissions and a higher rate of loan rejections, highlighting the need for professional guidance in financial planning.
The challenge will unfold in two stages: the preliminary round, which involves the submission of idea proposals, and the final round, where selected participants will present a pitch deck. Beyond recognition, participants stand to gain multiple non-fiscal incentives such as incubation and mentorship support for 25 top applications, podcast opportunities for five selected startups on the MSME Helpline YouTube Channel with wide reach, marketing assistance for 25 top applications, and IPR assistance extended to 100 startups and MSMEs.
