“Pacific Tech Village at Viva Tech” Challenge

The Pacific Community (IO), NeoTech (new-caledonian startup) and French Tech Nouvelle-Calédonie (association) are organizing the first edition of the “Pacific Tech Village at Viva Tech”.

The aim of this project is to organize a delegation of around twenty Pacific entrepreneurs to attend the world’s largest “Tech” trade show, so that they can showcase their innovative, high-impact solutions and promote the region’s technological uses.

Rewards

  • A space in the “Village Pacific Tech” pavilion at Viva Technology 2025
    • The nine winners of the call for applications will be given a personalized space on the “Village Pacific Tech” stand/pavilion at Viva Technology, and will be able to exhibit their solution during the event, in order to meet the public: entrepreneurs, investors, companies, groups, organizations, press, conferences, side events etc. All selected entrepreneurs will benefit from coaching in the lead-up to Viva Tech 2025 to make the most of this experience. Reasonable travel expenditures will be covered by the organisers of this challenge.
  • One return plane ticket to Paris to attend Viva Technology from June 11th to 14th included
    • The nine entrepreneurs selected will benefit from a round-trip flight to Paris, departing no later than June 9, 2025 and returning no earlier than June 15, 2025, provided they have submitted all administrative documents within the deadlines set by the organization. Special attention must be paid to travel visas.
  • Four startup-4 days pass per entrepreneur
    • The nine entrepreneurs selected will benefit de 4 “startup-4 days pass” for them and to invite 3 external guests of their choice. Those passes give all access to Viva Technology for 4 days and at the networking, leadgen and interactivity digital functionalities of the event.

Selection Criteria

  • Localisation
    • Your startup is headquartered in one of these territories: American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis and Futuna.
  • Financial
    • Your startup can demonstrate sales and revenue in 2024
  • Innovation
    • Your solution is part of at least one of these three types of Innovation: breakthrough, user-driven or incremental innovation.
  • Impact
    • Your solution has a real social, ecological or economic impact on your country/region.
  • Community
    • Do you identify as a member of an indigenous group from the Pacific? Please specify which one.
