The European Commission is requesting applications to support research and innovation activities focused on strengthening Europe’s capabilities in advanced health technologies.
The call focuses on integrated technologies for monitoring, imaging and biomedical research, including advanced wearable health technologies and integrated solutions, personalized imaging technologies, and advanced laboratory and scientific solutions. Key areas include continuous health monitoring, AI-driven patient monitoring, personalized diagnostics, real-time recovery monitoring, medical imaging technologies, advanced research instruments, molecular-scale disease investigation, treatment development, and validation of medical techniques and equipment.
The initiative aims to support the development of innovative health technologies that contribute to improved medical research, diagnostics, treatment development, and healthcare outcomes.
The available funding under this call is €20,000,000, with individual project funding ranging from €1,000,000 to €20,000,000.
Eligibility conditions are described in Annex 1 to the multiannual work programme 2023–2027 “HORIZON Europe conditions applicable to the Chips JU”. Participation is limited to legal entities established in EU Member States, EEA Countries, Associated Countries, OECD countries, and Mercosur countries.
Entities established in eligible countries but directly or indirectly controlled by non-eligible countries or entities must provide approved guarantees demonstrating that their participation will not negatively impact the Union’s strategic interests, assets, autonomy, or security.
Entities assessed as high-risk suppliers of mobile network communication equipment, or entities fully or partially owned or controlled by such suppliers, cannot submit guarantees.
