The UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund offers to support early-stage entrepreneurs with funding, mentorship, and capacity-building to develop solutions that strengthen Arctic communities and promote sustainable development.
The focus areas, of this fund include Arctic innovation, community resilience, sustainable development, Indigenous entrepreneurship, youth and women-led innovation, pre-seed business development, environmental protection, and strengthening Northern economies.
The UArctic Entrepreneurship Fund is an accelerator-style funding programme designed to support individuals or small teams at the pre-seed stage who are developing new products, services, or solutions with potential benefits for Arctic environments and communities. It focuses on enhancing local resilience, sustainability, and self-determination across the North.
The fund provides seed grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 USD, along with mentorship, capacity-building support, and access to a global network of Arctic-focused experts and institutions. It is designed to strengthen early-stage ideas that require initial support to grow into viable initiatives.
The programme is open to any individual working on solutions that directly benefit Arctic communities or the Arctic environment. It especially encourages applications from Indigenous entrepreneurs, youth, women, and Northern-based innovators whose work reflects local lived experiences and priorities.
Applicants are required to demonstrate a clear project background, a new product or service idea, and a value proposition that addresses Arctic challenges. Submissions must also include a business overview, funding request, and a detailed budget outlining the use of funds over 6–12 months.
The fund aims to support ideas that contribute not only to business development but also to long-term community resilience and sustainable economic growth in the Arctic region.
