The Eureka Xecs Cluster has launched its sixth call to support collaborative innovation projects in electronic components and systems.
The focus areas, of the call include microelectronics, nanoelectronics, photonics, agrifood, natural resources, advanced manufacturing, digital society, energy, health and well-being, and mobility.
The Eureka Xecs Cluster, dedicated to Electronic Components and Systems, has launched its sixth annual call for collaborative research and development project proposals. The initiative supports innovation in microelectronics, nanoelectronics, and photonics with applications across a range of sectors.
To be considered for funding, applicants must form a project consortium and develop a collaborative research and development project that meets the programme’s eligibility requirements.
Canadian applicants must be incorporated, profit-oriented small or medium-sized enterprises with 500 or fewer full-time equivalent employees. Eligible companies must have operated for at least 12 months before the registration deadline and employ a minimum of five full-time equivalent employees in Canada, excluding contract staff.
Applicants are expected to pursue growth and profitability through the development and commercialization of innovative, technology-driven products, services, or processes in Canada. They must possess differentiated and protectable technologies with commercial potential in global markets and demonstrate sufficient financial and operational capacity to undertake an international multi-year R&D collaboration while maintaining regular business operations.
The programme also seeks companies committed to significant growth through international market expansion. Preference may be given to applicants with at least 15 full-time equivalent employees in Canada, experience commercializing products internationally, and annual sales revenue exceeding CAD 500,000.
