Deadline Date: December 17, 2026
The POLNORIS Call for Proposals supports high-quality research and innovation projects in Poland by strengthening international cooperation with research partners from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.
The key focus areas, objectives, priorities, and themes of the call include enhancing research quality in Poland, strengthening international collaboration in research and innovation, supporting donor partnership projects, promoting the European green transition, advancing democracy, rule of law and human rights, fostering social inclusion and resilience, encouraging interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approaches, enhancing research valorisation, and promoting the leadership of early-stage researchers.
The call will fund research and innovation projects implemented in close cooperation with partners from the Donor States. The programme aims to develop knowledge-based and research-driven innovative solutions while building international research networks and improving research capacity in Poland.
Eligible applicants include research organisations and enterprises established in Poland. Projects must include a mandatory partnership with at least one research organisation from one of the Donor States, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway. Eligible partners may include public or private entities, commercial or non-commercial organisations, and non-governmental organisations established in Poland or the Donor States.
The programme encourages projects that involve early-stage researchers by providing opportunities for leadership roles such as Principal Investigator or Work Package leader. It also promotes collaboration between academia, industry, public authorities, NGOs, and end-users to increase the relevance and impact of research outcomes.
Projects should demonstrate how research results, data, and knowledge can be transformed into sustainable products, services, solutions, or evidence-based policies that create social and economic value. The initiative also welcomes projects addressing challenges resulting from the invasion of Ukraine.
A total funding amount of EUR 70 million is available under the call, with individual grants ranging from EUR 1 million to EUR 1.75 million.
