Deadline Date: July 12, 2026
The Orange Corners Burundi Acceleration Program is designed to support Burundian social entrepreneurs and impact-driven startups through structured acceleration, mentorship and ecosystem access to help them scale sustainable solutions.
The focus areas of the program include measurement and management of impact, business model development, scaling strategies, financial planning, funding strategies, participatory and democratic governance, leadership, and resilience, with a strong emphasis on contributions toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Orange Corners Burundi Acceleration Program is implemented to support social entrepreneurs, social impact startups, and initiatives based in Burundi that address social challenges through innovative and scalable solutions aligned with SDGs. It is delivered by 3hi Africa, which aims to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems and promote sustainable business development.
The program focuses on ventures that place impact at the core of their operations and demonstrate a clear theory of change. It prioritizes initiatives that align their economic model with the development and replication of social innovation while maintaining financial autonomy and avoiding exit-driven profit models. Selected participants are expected to be at a growth stage where they are ready to scale their operations.
Over a four-month intensive acceleration period, participants engage in structured learning sessions, coaching, and sprint-based development activities hosted at HubHuza. Entrepreneurs receive personalized mentorship and guidance from experienced experts to refine their business models, strengthen financial management capabilities, and improve strategic decision-making.
The program also provides networking and matchmaking opportunities that connect participants with ecosystem stakeholders, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs. Additional support includes practical training sessions focused on real-world business challenges, industry exposure visits, and leadership development activities aimed at building resilience and operational strength.
Selected startups benefit from increased visibility across Burundi and access to the wider Orange Corners alumni network. The initiative aims to support a limited cohort of up to 20 entrepreneurs per cycle, with two cohorts organized each year to ensure focused and high-quality support.
Eligibility is limited to social impact-driven enterprises operating in Burundi that demonstrate contribution to SDGs, a validated theory of change, and a scalable, financially sustainable business model. Applicants must show readiness for growth and commitment to developing solutions with measurable social or environmental impact.
