The Acceleration Program offers to support tourism startups with training, mentoring, networking, and ecosystem access to build innovative travel and hospitality solutions.
The focus areas, of the program include Hotels and Catering solutions such as administrative management, unit management, revenue management, channel management, customer service products and services, and personnel systems, Tourist transport and smart transport solutions including smart cities and mobility, Booking engines and online travel agencies, Tourist and cultural activities including tours, events, and travel experiences, Sustainable development applications and services focused on saving food, energy, and natural resources, Accessibility solutions, Financial services applications (fintech) focused on travel and tourism transactions, and specialized communication, promotion, and management solutions in the tourism sector including social media interaction, service reviews, advertising, sporting events, live events, and booking platforms.
The program runs in cycles of five months, during which selected startups receive training opportunities, workshops, mentoring sessions, advisory support, and access to networking activities within the tourism ecosystem. Participants also benefit from local events, company visits, presentations, and meetups that help them connect with key stakeholders in the industry.
Startups accepted into the program may continue to use the accelerator’s facilities free of charge for an additional period of up to 24 months after the initial cycle, supporting their continued development and growth.
The program also includes outward-facing activities such as participation in trade fairs, international delegations, and other networking opportunities aimed at connecting Greek startups with global markets. The initiative is offered free of charge, without requiring equity or shares from participating companies, with the expectation that successful startups will later support the broader ecosystem once they grow.
Startups that successfully complete the program are eligible for cash prizes totaling €40,000, distributed based on performance and final jury evaluation. The awards include a first prize of €10,000, a second prize of €5,000, a third prize of €3,000, and additional €2,000 awards for other teams that complete the program successfully.
