The Nigeria Green Academy 2026 is inviting applications to supports young changemakers in Nigeria to build skills and networks for addressing governance and development challenges.
The focus areas, of the Nigeria Green Academy include strengthening civil society engagement, supporting youth leadership, promoting governance and development solutions, encouraging social entrepreneurship, advancing environmental sustainability, fostering democratic values, promoting gender equity, and building inclusive networks for social and political change in Nigeria.
The programme is implemented by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Abuja Office, an international network affiliated with the Green Party in Germany that works across multiple countries. It functions as a dialogue platform and think-tank focused on promoting a democratic, socially just, gender-equitable, and sustainable Nigeria.
The academy is designed for individuals aged 20 to 35 who demonstrate passion, innovation, resilience, and commitment to driving social and political change related to Nigeria’s economic, social, and political development. It encourages participation from diverse backgrounds to ensure balanced representation across gender, geography, and identity, with strong encouragement for female applicants.
Participants benefit from opportunities to strengthen their knowledge, develop practical tools, and expand their professional and advocacy networks to support impactful engagement in their communities.
