Call for Social Projects: Chartered Community of Navarre 2026 (Spain)

The call focuses on three main areas of action: older people; people with disabilities, mental disorders, or illness; and poverty and social inclusion. It also supports cross-cutting lines of action including social and employment integration, educational opportunities for equity, access to temporary residential resources, intercultural coexistence and social cohesion, promotion and protection of health and mental health, prevention of violence and addictions, and culture as a driver for social transformation. Within the area of older people, priority is given to actions that promote decision-making and self-governance, meaningful personal relationships and the prevention of loneliness and social isolation, as well as the detection and intervention of situations of special vulnerability.

The initiative is designed to collaborate with organizations that develop social projects within the Chartered Community of Navarre. Through this support, the foundation seeks to advance the construction of a more just, inclusive, equitable, and supportive society while addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.

Eligible applicants include non-profit entities and social economy organizations whose statutes clearly establish social cohesion or social and cultural interest as their primary objective. Public administrations are not eligible to participate. Applicant organizations must be registered in the corresponding administrative register and have their headquarters within the Chartered Community of Navarre.

Projects submitted under this call should address situations of vulnerability or multiple vulnerability and contribute to improving living conditions, social participation, autonomy, and inclusion. Special emphasis is placed on initiatives that support older adults through personalized and community-based approaches, reduce social isolation, foster meaningful connections, and improve functional and cognitive autonomy.

Projects may request funding of up to €50,000 and must have a maximum duration of 12 months. The requested amount cannot exceed 75% of the total project cost, requiring organizations to contribute at least 25% through their own or third-party resources. For corporate foundations, public sector foundations, and employee foundations, funding may cover up to 50% of the project cost, with the remaining amount provided by the applicant organization or other sources.

The call is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda and complements the social programs implemented by the “la Caixa” Foundation in areas such as childhood support, employment integration, care for older people, and comprehensive assistance for people with advanced illnesses.
