The Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition is accepting applications to support young entrepreneurs in developing innovative solutions for social and sustainable impact.
The focus areas of the competition include sustainable and impact-driven entrepreneurship, social innovation, business model development, alignment with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), entrepreneurial design, feasibility and financing strategies, risk reduction, global networking, feedback systems, and innovation for social, economic, environmental, and health challenges.
The Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition (CEC) is designed to support young entrepreneurs aged 13 and above in creating solutions that contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world. Participants are encouraged to develop ideas with social impact and align them with one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), addressing key global challenges across multiple sectors.
The competition is conducted in three phases: idea submission and entrepreneurial design, voting, and jury evaluation. In the first phase, participants submit a pitch, complete learning courses, and develop their idea using the Entrepreneurial Design Canvas (EDC). In the second phase, ideas are published for public voting and peer support. In the final phase, the top ten voted ideas are assessed by an expert jury to select winners.
Participants also gain knowledge in developing sustainable business models, understanding market viability, and creating long-term social value through structured entrepreneurial planning. The program helps refine ideas from concept to execution using guided learning tools and structured design methods.
Additionally, the CEC provides participants with access to a global entrepreneurial community, enabling feedback exchange, mentorship opportunities, and increased visibility. The platform supports continuous improvement through international collaboration and expert evaluation.
