The National Organic Awards 2026 aim to showcase and reward excellence in organic farming, food production, and retail in Ireland.
The focus areas of the awards include organic brand story and authenticity, brand positioning and differentiation, market opportunity and traction, packaging and communication quality, commitment to organic principles, on-farm stewardship, animal welfare, innovation, continuous improvement, farm performance and resilience, local community contribution, retail commitment to organic, product availability and accessibility, merchandising, supplier collaboration, export strategy and market growth, new and innovative products or packaging, and foodservice initiatives with measurable impact.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 24th, 2026 at the Bord Bia Global Hub in Dublin, and winners will be announced to highlight the best of Irish organic food. Judging will take place on September 3rd, 2026, by a panel of experts across seven key award categories: Best Irish Organic Brand, Best Irish Organic Farmer (Male and Female), Best Irish Organic Retailer, Best Irish Organic Exporter, Best New & Innovative Irish Organic Product, and Best Irish Organic Foodservice & Impact Initiative.
Entries must be submitted on the official form by Friday, July 17th, 2026, and products must be grown or manufactured in the Republic of Ireland with organic certification available. Only products currently available on the market are eligible, and a single product may be entered in a maximum of two categories. Shortlisted products must be available for tastings on September 3rd, 2026. Retailers and foodservice companies can submit private-label products on behalf of producers, and judges or their related businesses are not eligible to enter.
