The General Aid for Feature Film Production Projects is seeking applications to support the production of feature films in Spain through a competitive and multi-annual funding system.
The focus areas, of this programme include supporting feature film production projects, encouraging independent and co-produced audiovisual works, strengthening the Spanish film industry, promoting project-based film production, and supporting animation and long-format film development through competitive funding mechanisms.
The programme is open through an open call with two selection procedures for the year 2026. The aid is granted under a competitive competition system and applies to feature film production projects regulated under Spanish audiovisual legislation.
Eligible beneficiaries include independent production companies and non-independent production companies involved in co-productions with independent production companies. Economic interest groupings may also apply. In projects involving multiple production companies, applicants must comply with the eligibility and legal requirements established in the call.
The total funding available for this programme is EUR 30,000,000. The maximum amount of aid per beneficiary project is EUR 1,000,000, while animation projects may receive up to EUR 1,200,000.
Applicant companies must have legal residence or establishment in Spain at the time of receiving the aid and comply with national subsidy, equality, and legal regulations. Beneficiaries must also hold the necessary rights for the exploitation and commercialization of the audiovisual works produced.
