Deadline Date: June 07, 2026
The Caribbean Creative Tourism Awards recognize and support creative tourism initiatives that promote sustainable tourism development, cultural diversity, and entrepreneurial innovation across the Caribbean region.
The awards focus on sustainable tourism development, cultural diversity, entrepreneurial innovation, creative tourism experiences, tourism promotion, cultural identities, community values, creative services, artist residencies, tourism strategies, tourism events, travel services, creative accommodations, and capacity-building initiatives for tourism and cultural professionals.
The Creative Tourism Network® and UNESCO Transcultura have launched the Caribbean Creative Tourism Awards to honour tourism initiatives and stakeholders using creativity as a driver for sustainable tourism development across the Caribbean. The initiative aims to strengthen the region’s tourism ecosystem by highlighting projects connected to local cultures and entrepreneurial talent.
Applications are open across several categories, including creative destinations, tourism strategies, tourism experiences, accommodations, tourism events, travel agencies and tour operators, artist residencies, creative hubs, creative services, and tourism promotion campaigns.
The awards are part of the collaboration between the Creative Tourism Network® and the TRANSCULTURA programme implemented by the UNESCO Regional Office in Havana with support from the European Union. The programme promotes economic opportunities through culture, creativity, and sustainable development.
The initiative also complements training and mentoring programmes designed for cultural and tourism professionals and entrepreneurs in the Caribbean. These programmes support participants in developing and implementing tourism experiences rooted in cultural identity and community values.
Applicants may submit multiple proposals and can apply under more than one category. Except for the strategy category, all applicants must have been operational for at least six months. Applications must be submitted through the designated electronic form before the stated deadline.
