Deadline Date: September 22, 2026
The European Commission is inviting grant applications to support manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers in improving compliance with EU energy efficiency and product sustainability requirements.
The focus areas of the program include improving compliance with ecodesign and energy labelling regulations, enhancing awareness and understanding among economic operators, strengthening market surveillance and enforcement, supporting sustainable and energy-efficient product uptake, promoting the use of EPREL and other EU guidance tools, improving communication and dissemination strategies, and increasing consumer access to reliable product sustainability information.
This initiative is designed to address ongoing compliance gaps in the European market by helping economic operators better understand and implement ecodesign and energy labelling requirements. It combines reactive and proactive support mechanisms to improve knowledge and ensure better application of regulatory standards across supply chains.
The facility will provide targeted communication, capacity building, and technical guidance to manufacturers, suppliers, and online retailers, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized operators. It will also help disseminate existing resources and support compliance with evolving EU product legislation.
Key activities include establishing a help-line service for economic operators, promoting the EPREL product registry, conducting outreach campaigns, and supporting the use of existing EU guidance tools. The program also includes pilot online compliance checks across multiple Member States and follow-up support for improving adherence to regulations.
The initiative further aims to develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to measure improvements in compliance, awareness, and engagement across the European market. It will run for approximately 36 months with a total funding allocation of €2,500,000.
Eligible participants include legal entities established in EU Member States and associated countries, including EEA countries and those linked to the LIFE Programme, with the coordinating entity required to be based in an eligible country.
