The Grants for publishing cultural magazines is seeking applications to encourage the publication and distribution of Spanish cultural magazines that enrich the country’s bibliographic heritage in all official languages.
The focus areas of the program include literature and linguistics, visual and performing arts, music, design, photography, audiovisual creation, cinematography, history, geography, architecture, philosophy, social sciences, law, politics, and cultural criticism, with an emphasis on enriching cultural publication and national bibliographic heritage.
This initiative aims to promote and disseminate cultural journals that contribute to Spain’s written heritage. It supports publications that are issued in any of the official languages of Spain and correspond to the publication cycle of the year 2026.
Eligible beneficiaries include companies, including legal entities and self-employed individuals, as well as non-profit institutions engaged in publishing cultural magazines. Applicants must have tax residency in Spain and demonstrate effective distribution of publications to readers of the language in which they are published.
Non-profit institutions may operate at a national or international level, while those with exclusively regional or local scope are excluded. Entities must comply with legal requirements and must not fall under any prohibitions defined under applicable subsidy regulations.
Certain entities are excluded from eligibility, including communities of property, groups of individuals or legal persons, and other entities without legal personality.
The maximum funding available under the scheme is €700,000 for companies and €300,000 for non-profit institutions engaged in magazine publishing.
