The Standards and Awards for SMEs is seeking applications to support small and medium-sized enterprises obtain recognised standards or awards that enhance business performance and credibility.
The focus areas of the program include achieving recognised standards and awards, improving competitiveness and credibility, strengthening alignment with industry standards and best practices, promoting quality, efficiency, sustainability and innovation, supporting market expansion, and fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence in SMEs.
This scheme is designed to assist enterprises in preparing for and successfully obtaining internationally recognised certifications or national excellence awards. It focuses on strengthening internal management systems and operational structures rather than supporting regulatory compliance or product-specific certification requirements.
Through funded advisory services, SMEs can improve their business processes and adopt best practices that enhance long-term performance. The program aims to support businesses in building stronger frameworks that contribute to efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth.
The scheme operates until 31 December 2026, subject to the availability of funds. The total allocated budget is €500,000. The maximum grant available is €15,000, with an increased limit of €20,000 for applicants pursuing more than two standards or awards through the same service provider in a single application.
Eligibility is open to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises engaged in economic activities, regardless of their legal form. Applicants must meet legal registration requirements, including those applicable to entities without legal personality.
