The Feasibility Studies Grant is offering to support enterprises in exploring and validating new business ideas to determine their viability and sustainability.
The focus areas of the program include feasibility assessment of business ideas, research and innovation development, promotion of entrepreneurship, economic exploitation of new ideas, strengthening research and innovation capacities, fostering creativity and innovation, and supporting key sectors such as health and well-being, sustainable resource use for climate change mitigation and adaptation, smart manufacturing, marine and maritime technology, aviation and aerospace, and future digital technologies.
This scheme is designed to help enterprises conduct feasibility studies that enable informed decision-making about new business ideas or expansions. The studies are expected to help businesses evaluate potential success, identify required resources, and determine sustainability before moving forward with implementation.
The initiative supports investment in research, development, and innovation as a means to drive economic growth and strengthen Malta’s innovation ecosystem. It aligns with broader objectives to enhance competitiveness and promote smart economic transformation through innovation and advanced technologies.
The scheme will remain active until 31 December 2026, subject to the availability of funds. The total allocated budget is €2,000,000. The maximum grant available per undertaking is €100,000, and the total funding received across multiple approved applications cannot exceed this limit.
Eligibility is open to micro, small, medium-sized, and small mid-cap enterprises engaged in economic activities, regardless of their legal form. Applicants must comply with legal registration requirements, including those applicable to entities without legal personality.
