The Nasscom Emerge 50 Awards 2026 continue a 16-year legacy of recognising and accelerating India’s most innovative deeptech startups shaping the future of technology.
The awards focus on identifying startups that leverage advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Big Data and Analytics, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, Robotics, 3D printing, and Drones to create novel solutions; address complex and unresolved challenges; operate at the intersection of multiple technologies; drive socio-economic impact; and contribute to India’s evolving deeptech ecosystem through innovation rooted in science and engineering.
For over a decade and a half, the Nasscom Emerge 50 Awards have played a pivotal role in highlighting the transformation of India’s technology landscape from service-driven models to product-led innovation powered by deeptech ventures. These startups are not only solving technically complex problems but are also addressing critical challenges across industries, society, and the environment, demonstrating the transformative potential of technology.
As the ecosystem has matured, the awards have continuously evolved to raise the standards of excellence, recognising startups that are pushing the boundaries of research and innovation. The program celebrates companies that are not just contributing to economic growth but are also driving a broader socio-technological shift and strengthening India’s position on the global stage.
Eligible applicants must be startups registered in India as a private limited company, partnership firm, or limited liability partnership, with a functional office in the country. The startup should be founded within the last ten years, have a turnover below INR 100 crores in any previous financial year, and consist of at least two team members. The venture must be independent and not a subsidiary or spin-off of another company.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate deeptech innovation through new technologies, scientific discoveries, or complex engineering processes. They should be in early stages of development, ranging from initial concept and validation to early commercialization, and must provide supporting evidence such as prototypes, proof of concept, or scientific validation.
The initiative continues to seek startups that are building impactful solutions or creating entirely new market opportunities, reinforcing its commitment to discovering the next generation of pioneers who will redefine technological possibilities and shape India’s future in the global innovation landscape.
