Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The EDP Hope Fund Incubation Program 2026 is requesting applications to help early-stage entrepreneurs transform their ideas into scalable and sustainable social businesses with global impact.
The program focuses on validating and structuring early-stage ventures, supporting business model development, providing mentorship from industry experts, enabling access to a global entrepreneurial community, improving financial planning and pricing strategies, strengthening communication and marketing skills, enhancing investment readiness and impact measurement, and scaling businesses that contribute to fair energy transition and underserved communities.
This initiative is the third edition of the EDP Hope Fund Incubation Program, launched by Bridge for Billions in partnership with EDP. It is a five-month, free, flexible, and fully online program aimed at supporting social entrepreneurs worldwide working in the fair energy transition sector. The program is designed to help participants build strong, well-structured businesses that generate both social and economic value.
Participants in the program learn how to differentiate their business, attract customers, manage costs, set pricing strategies, and improve profitability. They also develop skills to plan business finances for the next three years, communicate effectively, and design strategies for scaling operations and expanding customer reach. In addition, the program emphasizes understanding social impact and developing key performance indicators to measure success and attract collaborators and investors.
The program offers a structured, step-by-step methodology that guides participants through business model validation using practical tools, real-world case studies, and guided learning frameworks. Participants also benefit from personalised mentorship, helping them refine and test their ideas while staying accountable throughout the incubation journey.
A strong global community element is included, allowing entrepreneurs to connect with peers, experts, and professionals working in impact-driven sectors. This collaborative environment is intended to encourage shared learning, knowledge exchange, and long-term networking opportunities.
The program is particularly suited for early-stage ventures focused on social impact in areas such as clean energy access, energy efficiency, green job creation, reskilling, and environmental preservation. It also supports businesses that promote affordability, inclusion, resilience, and improved access for underserved communities. Applicants may join with an idea, MVP, or an early revenue-generating business that still requires a sustainable model.
Participants must be able to dedicate 6 to 8 hours per week over the five-month duration and have access to a computer and stable internet connection. The program is open to founders from all countries, with no restrictions on age or educational background, provided they are proficient in English, as all applications must be submitted in English.
