15th CavinKare–MMA ChinniKrishnan Great Ideas Awards (India)

Deadline Date: June 22, 2026

The 15th CavinKare–MMA ChinniKrishnan Great Ideas Awards is a recognition program designed to encourage early-stage innovators and thinkers in India whose ideas have the potential to create meaningful societal, industrial, and user impact.

The program focuses on early-stage idea development, innovation and originality, problem-solving for societal and industrial challenges, conceptual and prototype-stage thinking, inclusivity for individuals and institutions, future-oriented solutions, and evaluation based on originality, clarity, relevance, and potential impact. The 15th CavinKare–MMA ChinniKrishnan Great Ideas Awards receive a cash prize of 10,000 rupees per winning idea as financial support to recognize and encourage early-stage innovation and creative thinking.

The Great Ideas Awards category has been created to support participation from innovators whose concepts are still in early stages but demonstrate strong potential for meaningful impact. The program welcomes individuals and institutions including startups, entrepreneurs, corporates, academicians, researchers, and students from across India.

Applicants must ensure that their idea is original and developed by them, with no plagiarism or intellectual property disputes. A self-declaration confirming ownership and originality is required as part of the application process. The idea must also address a clearly defined and relevant problem that is meaningful to society, users, or industry.

Ideas can be submitted at any stage of development, including concept stage, prototype stage, pilot stage, early implementation stage, or even previously implemented ideas that have been discontinued but offer significant learning value. There is no requirement for commercialisation, funding, or large-scale adoption, and no turnover restriction applies for this category, making it accessible to early thinkers.

Applicants must be citizens of India, and the idea must originate within the country. All submitted information will remain confidential and will only be shared with jury members for evaluation purposes, although winning ideas may be publicly announced during the awards function. Submission of the application indicates consent for evaluation and recognition use by the organizing committee.

Selected ideas receive a cash prize of ten thousand rupees per award-winning idea, along with recognition for their innovative contribution.

The evaluation process is based on four key criteria. Originality assesses whether the idea reflects unique and verifiable thinking. Clarity evaluates how well the problem is identified and how effectively the solution is presented. Relevance and impact measure the potential benefit to people, society, or industry. The final criterion focuses on forward-thinking, assessing whether the idea anticipates future needs and challenges.
