The Femmy O Foundation grant programme is seeking applications to support emerging entrepreneurs while advancing cancer awareness and education in honour of Femmy Olaniyi’s legacy of faith, innovation, and generosity.
The Femmy O Foundation was established in memory of Femmy Olaniyi, celebrating her dedication to learning, entrepreneurship, and community impact, and it focuses on supporting cancer awareness through education and early detection, promoting self-health advocacy and contributing to cancer research and patient care initiatives. It also places strong emphasis on empowering entrepreneurs by providing financial support and guidance to small businesses and individuals seeking to establish or expand their ventures. Alongside these core objectives, the foundation promotes broader awareness efforts designed to encourage informed health choices and community engagement.
The grant programme is designed to provide direct financial assistance to small businesses and budding entrepreneurs who demonstrate potential for growth and development. Each year, the foundation awards grants to selected applicants, including a €1000 grant and an additional €500 grant, aimed at supporting early-stage and growing businesses.
Eligible applicants must be over 18 years of age and either planning to start a new business or expand a small business that has been operating for less than three years. The business must be based in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland and should demonstrate capacity for growth, along with the necessary skills or willingness to develop them.
Recipients of the grant are required to participate in the foundation’s annual function, where winners are publicly announced, and to consent to the use of their participation in promotional materials. They must also provide quarterly updates on their business progress during the first year and attend the following year’s event to present an update on their venture’s development.
Through these initiatives, the Femmy O Foundation continues to honour Femmy Olaniyi’s legacy by supporting both community health awareness and entrepreneurial ambition in a structured and impactful way.
