The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and supported by development partners has announced the launch of multiple grant calls aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and SME growth in the Republic of Moldova.
The programs aim to support women-led businesses, strengthen enterprise competitiveness, boost small production and investment, promote innovation and digital and green transitions, and enhance export readiness, internationalisation, and value chain integration.
The Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Program offers non-reimbursable financial support aimed at both startup creation and business expansion. Under Measure 1, beginner women entrepreneurs can access funding of up to 200,000 MDL, while developing enterprises managed by women may receive up to 600,000 MDL. Additional support of up to 50,000 MDL is available for e-commerce activities. The program is designed for women entrepreneurs who intend to start or grow businesses and improve their managerial and operational capacities.
The Small Producers Support Program targets individuals and enterprises operating in the manufacturing sector. Eligible applicants must demonstrate at least 12 months of activity or experience prior to application. The program provides non-reimbursable financing of up to 500,000 MDL, covering a maximum of 70% of the investment project value, with the aim of increasing production capacity, productivity, and value addition, particularly in rural areas.
The Digital Innovation and Technology Startup Support Program is structured into two measures based on turnover. Measure 1 provides grants of up to 500,000 MDL for startups with annual turnover up to 5,000,000 MDL, requiring a minimum 20% beneficiary contribution. Measure 2 offers funding between 700,000 MDL and 2,000,000 MDL for startups with turnover up to 25,000,000 MDL, requiring at least 50% co-financing. The program supports startups in digital innovation, ICT, green technologies, and sustainable production with scalable growth potential.
The non-reimbursable financial support instrument CREȘTEM IMM is designed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to support digital transformation, green transition, and technological modernization. Funding varies by enterprise size and objective, with support ranging from 25% to 50% of project value. Maximum funding amounts reach up to 3,000,000 MDL depending on the category and priority area. Eligibility is based on SME classification and alignment with development objectives such as digital adoption, sustainability, and efficiency improvements.
The SMEs Growth and Internationalisation Program supports enterprises aiming to expand into foreign markets and enhance competitiveness. It provides up to 600,000 MDL in non-reimbursable funding, based on a 50% co-financing model. Funding can be used for business development services, machinery, and equipment, with equipment costs limited to 45% of the project value and capped at 270,000 MDL. The program is open to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises focused on export readiness and international integration.
