The Lytton Business Restart Program is now accepting grant applications to support the reopening and establishment of businesses in Lytton to help restore and strengthen the local economy.
The program focuses on helping businesses restart and promoting the revitalization of Lytton’s economy, with priority given to core businesses such as grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, hotels, and gathering places including coffee shops.
The Lytton Business Restart Program provides financial assistance to businesses in the form of both non-repayable and repayable contributions. The repayable funding options are interest-free when repaid within an agreed time period, making them accessible for businesses working toward recovery and long-term stability.
The Small Business Recovery stream supports both returning businesses seeking more than $20,000 and new businesses applying for any amount, with total funding available up to $1 million. In some cases, non-repayable contributions may also be considered for businesses identified as essential to Lytton’s rebuild and long-term economic development.
Eligibility is extended to businesses planning to operate in the Village of Lytton or within 15 km of the village, including on reserve locations. Applicants must have fewer than 500 employees, be recognized as a business for taxation purposes, and be prepared to begin operations in alignment with the community’s rebuilding process.
Overall, the program is structured to encourage both immediate business restarts and longer-term economic development by providing flexible financial support tailored to different stages of recovery.
