The City of Karratha’s Take Your Business Online (TYBO) Grant Scheme is inviting applications to support businesses in strengthening digital capabilities and marketing efforts through matched funding.
The scheme focuses on enhancing digital capacity, improving online marketing presence, supporting innovation, increasing competitiveness, and boosting operational efficiency across products and services.
The grant provides eligible businesses with up to $5,000 (excluding GST) per business, offered on a dollar-for-dollar matching basis. This funding is designed to assist in projects that strengthen digital presence and capabilities, provided that the proposed activities can be completed within six months of approval.
The grant supports a range of digital initiatives such as web design, social media management, e-business development, creation of online learning or membership portals, development of customer relationship management systems, app development, search engine optimisation, and broader digital marketing activities.
These projects are intended to strengthen online engagement and business functionality. However, the funding does not cover general business operating expenses such as wages, rent, utilities, or consumables, nor does it apply to projects that have already been completed in the past.
Eligibility criteria require that applicants are businesses with a registered ABN and operate within the City of Karratha area. They must have a project that improves digital capability, offer market-ready or already operating products or services, and demonstrate the ability to complete the project without grant funding if unsuccessful. Additionally, they must hold appropriate insurances, permits, or licences, including necessary planning approvals if operating from home.
