Deadline Date: March 20, 2026
NXP is back with Season 6 of the ‘NXP India Tech Startup Challenge’ in 2026, aimed at fostering innovation and strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem in the country.
The program focuses on technology startups working on IP, processor development, semiconductor fabless ASIC design, and embedded product development, with thematic priorities including Automotive solutions (4-Wheelers, 2-Wheelers, Electric Vehicles, EV Infrastructure, and Drones), Industrial IoT applications (Robots, Industrial Automation, Medtech, and Energy/Water/Flow Meters), and Technology Focus Areas such as Safe and Secure AI Agents, Perceptive AI, Robotics, and Software Defined Architectures.
The challenge provides an exceptional platform for Indian tech startups to connect, collaborate, and grow while showcasing their innovative solutions to industry leaders. Agility and technical expertise are highly valued as startups get the opportunity to present their ideas to thousands of tech professionals through this flagship event. Selected participants benefit from mentorship, incubation opportunities, and visibility that can accelerate their growth and integration into the broader semiconductor and embedded systems ecosystem.
Top startups will be recognized and rewarded with both fiscal and non-fiscal incentives. The top three startups will share a total prize pool of INR 10 Lacs along with mentorship from NXP India’s technical leadership through three interactive sessions each month for three months. Industry visibility will also be offered to the top ten startups, allowing them to present their business value propositions to NXP and partner organizations.
Special opportunities include the chance to showcase the best AI application for a better world at the capstone XTC event in California in November 2026. Startups focusing on embedded systems and product design can avail of equity-free pre-incubation for up to three months at Electropreneur Park, with access to state-of-the-art labs, mentorship, and prototyping reimbursements. Semiconductor IP design startups can participate in a four-month equity-free cohort at SFAL, leveraging FPGA innovation labs, tools from in-kind partners, and guidance on business and investments.
Further support is offered through INCeNSE at IISc Bengaluru, providing selected startups with access to nanofabrication, characterization, system engineering, packaging facilities, and faculty mentoring for three months. FabCi at IIT Hyderabad also extends six months of mentorship and access to advanced characterization facilities for startups in semiconductor design. These initiatives collectively aim to nurture, scale, and promote Indian technology startups, offering them a robust ecosystem to convert innovative ideas into market-ready solutions.
