Deadline Date: April 06, 2026
The VivaTech is requesting applications to create innovative energy solutions that strengthen resilience, drive sustainability, and integrate AI for smarter, future-ready power systems.
The challenge focuses on breakthrough differentiation, scalability and replicability, integration potential, execution credibility, and long-term impact potential. Solutions should enhance resilience, adaptability, and intelligence of energy systems, enable climate-adaptive infrastructure, predictive risk modeling, hybrid system integration, offshore and distributed generation, advanced grid orchestration, and digital tools that improve stability under extreme conditions, while also linking energy with artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, cleaner power, and smarter energy networks.
Islands and coastal regions face growing climate risks, fragile grids, and high energy costs due to isolation and reliance on imported fuels. Current solutions are often centralized, slow to adapt, and hard to scale in extreme environments. This challenge seeks scalable breakthroughs in distributed energy, storage, microgrids, and intelligent management to deliver stable, affordable, clean power, improving reliability, lowering costs, reducing emissions, and strengthening connected communities.
The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence is driving unprecedented energy demand while power systems struggle with efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability. Innovations that link energy and intelligence—from powering next-generation computing to enabling smarter energy networks—are encouraged to improve system efficiency, reduce energy intensity, and integrate AI-driven optimization across energy infrastructures.
Startups are invited to create solutions that rethink how energy, water, connectivity, and infrastructure interact, building scalable models that strengthen long-term resilience, support sustainable regional development, and enable future-ready energy systems. Solutions should be technically credible, practically deployable, and designed for meaningful long-term impact on energy systems and AI–energy evolution.
