Deadline Date: February 04, 2026
The EIT Food is inviting grant applications to participate in a programme that supports startups in the Food & Agriculture sector through Seedbed subgrants and dedicated funding.
The focus areas and priorities include appointing up to seven Venture Builders, supporting eligible projects in their programme cohorts to apply for Seedbed subgrants, awarding subgrants directly to startups, maintaining light-touch reporting, and ensuring ongoing communication with participating startups.
This programme provides an opportunity for experienced Venture Builders to expand their impact, support innovative startups, and contribute to growth and innovation in the Food & Agriculture sector across Europe.
Selected Venture Builders will continue to run their own programmes while participating in this initiative. Each Venture Builder will receive €25,000 per year for their involvement, with a maximum funding allocation of €75,000 over the three-year programme duration. The total budget available for this call is €525,000, covering the period from 2026 to 2028.
To be eligible, organisations must have operated as a Venture Builder or Studio since at least 1 January 2023, completed a minimum of two cohorts, and have the majority of projects focused on Food & Agriculture. Eligible organisations must also have experience collaborating with Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) or Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs), be legally incorporated in an EU or Horizon Europe country for at least two years by 31 December 2025, and hold a valid PIC number.
