Next in Mind Incubator Program

Next in Mind is co-founded by Reach for Change, The Inner Foundation, and the Tim Bergling Foundation as a response to the rising mental health challenges of emerging adults in the Nordics.

The incubator is a program that supports social entrepreneurs at the early growth stage with high ambition to scale your solution for emerging adults.

The program is based on three pillars of support:

• Capacity building
  • They offer high quality content that is brought by experts in the field and tailored to your scaling needs. This takes the form of advice, technical training, coaching, mentoring and peer-to-peer exchange.
• Network
  • They connect you with the local and international network. This allows for new partnerships to be created in terms of knowledge, experience as well as funding opportunities.
• Funding
  • When selected, you will get access to financial support that allows you to allocate time and effort to your scaling journey.

Investment Areas

• Community, belonging & mental wellbeing literacy
  • Innovations and solutions that improve understanding and increase knowledge among the target group at large, including psycho-education and destigmatization, fostering supportive community environments, as well as increasing mental wellbeing literacy and awareness.
• Early Intervention & Prevention
  • Innovations and solutions that work at an early stage to prevent the rise or escalation of mental distress and promote the wellbeing and ability to thrive, realize one’s potential and take an active part in society.
• Treatment
  • Innovations and solutions that support the improvement and healing of emerging adults that are suffering from mental distress.

What are they looking for?

• This program targets organizations in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway, that offer an accessible, affordable and acceptable solution that meets the needs of emerging adults (18-29 years old).
  • Accessible
    • An inclusive approach guarantees that anyone within your target group is able to benefit from your solution, regardless of any personal or demographic characteristics.
  • Affordable
    • The cost of your solution should never stop someone from seeking it.
  • Acceptable
    • Your solution should be qualitative, appropriate and culturally sensitive to ensure a positive impact.

Who are they looking for?

• Nonprofit and for-profit organizations that have a solution that improves mental wellbeing for emerging adults.
• Organizations that are interested in co-creating advocacy activities together with other stakeholders to increase their impact.

This program is not for

• Social entrepreneurs who are taking their first steps in the field and who are still in the process of identifying or testing what their solution could be.
• Social entrepreneurs who are working in the mental health sector, but do not have the ambition or the organizational maturity to scale.
