Challenges/ Areas to improve

• High Accident Rates: Certain places called hotspots have a high number of road accidents, resulting in injuries, fatalities, and property damage. Identifying major accident areas and understanding the contributing factors is vital for effective intervention.
• Comprehensive data Analysis: The absence of in-depth analysis hampers the identification of patterns and the development of targeted solutions.
• Potential development Infrastructure: Some roads and intersections lack appropriate infrastructure, such as signage, speed-calming measures, and pedestrian facilities. Inadequate road design and maintenance contribute to accidents and jeopardize road user safety.
• Improvement of compliance with Traffic Regulations: There is a need to address non-compliance with traffic rules and regulations among road users, including drivers, pedestrians, and two-wheeler riders. Effective enforcement mechanisms are required to improve compliance and reduce risky behaviours.

• A total cash prize of Rs. 2.5 lakhs will be awarded across three categories

Calling college students, young entrepreneurs and Startups to address the district-specific road safety challenges by exploring innovative solutions. They’re open to innovative ideas and predictive analysis approaches to enhance road safety.
