Submissions are now open for the FAMIGRO Award, granted annually to a young (18 to 40) European countryside entrepreneur who has been making a special contribution to the rural economy, community and environment.
The aim of the FAMIGRO Award is to improve the project’s success and growth by benefiting from the support of the network of the Friends of the Countryside (FCS) and Young Friends of the Countryside (YFCS), as well as the European Landowners’ Organization (ELO).
Friends of the Countryside (FCS) that aims to promote interconnectivity between young people aged 18 to 35 across Europe who have a longstanding personal or professional interest in rural matters, entrepreneurship, land ownership and management of the country side. Together they believe that it is only by creating an association of rural decision makers, entrepreneurs, future and existing landowners -that they will be able to promote, develop and defend the rural interests. The principal purpose of the FCS is to support the work of the European Landowners Organization (ELO).

Eligibility Criteria
- Aged 18 to 40.
- European entrepreneur.
- Innovative rural project that has been operational for at least 2 years.
