The Wilson Fish Bridge to Employment Program provides funding to ensure recipients of Refugee Cash Assistance can access required employment and related support services in states where the Refugee Support Services program will no longer operate beginning in FY 2027.
The key objectives of the program are ensuring access to required employment services for Refugee Cash Assistance recipients, providing employment training and placement services, delivering English language training, and supporting the transition to employment in states where Refugee Support Services will no longer be available.
The program is administered to maintain access to essential employment-related services required under the Immigration and Nationality Act. It is intended to support Refugee Cash Assistance recipients by providing employment-focused assistance and English language training to improve their readiness for the workforce.
The estimated total program funding available is $17,388,363. Grant awards range from a minimum of $250,000 to a maximum of $14,438,363, depending on the approved proposal and scope of activities.
Eligible applicants include city or township governments, county governments, state governments, special district governments, public housing authorities, Indian housing authorities, independent school districts, public and private institutions of higher education, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, Native American tribal organizations other than federally recognized tribal governments, nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status, and faith-based or community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements.
Applications from individuals, including sole proprietorships, federal entities, and foreign entities are not eligible and will be disqualified from consideration under this funding opportunity.
