INFO Grants to Support Innovative Companies with Technological Potential and Scalability

Deadline Date: July 25, 2026

The INFO Grants support the implementation of business projects in innovative companies with technological potential and scalability that are in their creation or consolidation phase in the Region of Murcia.

The grant is intended to support business projects that provide added value to the regional productive fabric and are aligned with the Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS4) of the Region of Murcia under the Region of Murcia FEDER Programme 2021–2027, specifically focuses on strengthening the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and creating employment through productive investments, within Action 13 for the promotion of entrepreneurship. The eligible themes include product or process innovation projects, productive investment projects, digitalization projects for the management and provision of company services, projects for the promotion, launch and positioning of a product or service, and product or service internationalization projects.

The programme establishes competitive grants for business projects carried out by companies with technological and scalable potential. Eligible applicants must be innovative companies with technological potential and/or scalability that have been established no more than four years before submitting the application. The subsidized activities must be carried out within the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia through a workplace located in the region, and the company’s activity must fall within the priority areas of the Smart Specialisation Strategy of the Region of Murcia.

The aid is provided as a non-refundable grant with a maximum amount of €80,000 per beneficiary in each call for proposals. Companies classified as Category 1, which includes technology-based and technology-innovative companies, may receive funding covering up to 70% of eligible expenses. Companies classified as Category 2, which includes businesses with innovative and scalable business models, may receive funding covering up to 50% of eligible expenses.

Eligible costs include personnel expenses for employees dedicated to the subsidized project, provided they have an employment contract with the beneficiary company and are covered under the general social security scheme. The maximum eligible monthly personnel cost is €7,200 per full-time employee.

The grant also covers external collaboration expenses directly related to the business project, including contractual research, acquisition or licensing of knowledge and patents from external sources under competitive conditions, consulting services, and strategic management services provided by external experts.

Indirect costs are eligible through a fixed-rate calculation equivalent to 15% of the eligible personnel costs. Investment costs for new tangible assets linked to the business project, such as machinery, laboratory equipment, and computer equipment, are also eligible. However, office furniture, land, buildings, civil works, vehicles, and technical installations are not eligible for funding. Intangible investment costs, including software licences directly linked to the business project, are also covered.

Travel expenses related to business prospecting activities and attendance at events are eligible when they are directly connected to the implementation of the subsidized project.
